How Does O.F.F.E.R. Work?

You've already read that The O.F.F.E.R. System is
an independent method for rating Fantasy Football
players, made available to websites, players,
magazines, and leagues for advertising, ranking and
seeding purposes.

But how does it work, really?

Well, we cannot give it away as to how the point
system works, but we can tell you that there are
many different parts that factor in for each league.

Each league has (at least) one point value, and it
is determined by a proprietary formula that weighs
many different things against one another to come
up with one single value for each league winner.

That score is based upon several things, including
such rules as the number of teams in a league, the
entry fees and prizes for a league, and performances
of each team both during the regular season and
the playoffs (if any).

Points are awarded not just to the league winner(s),
but also to those that perform well in both the
fantasy regular season and the post-season for
each league.

The simplest way to think of it is this:

The O.F.F.E.R. System is the "BCS Formula" for
Fantasy Football.

Now before you scream about how much you don't
like the BCS for college football, think about it.
There are just too many teams to play one another
every year, so they try and get the best two teams
ranked the right way and get a Championship Game.

That's the goal here as well - find out the Top Players
in the Fantasy Football World.  It may not be a
perfect system, but we think it is pretty darn close -
and there's nothing else like it out there.

No Fantasy Football player can play in every league,
nor should they.  But, they can try and win points
based on several leagues, and whomever gets the
most at the end of each year is declared the #1
Player in the World for that season.

Sounds simple, doesn't it?

Now go out and win.  We'll be watching.
